Application

PEPTAPON 88 is a binder and suspension stabilizer specifically designed for glazes used in sanitary ware. Adding PEPTAPON 88 to the glaze can significantly accelerate the drying speed of the glaze, making this additive particularly suitable for thick-glaze products.

In addition, PEPTAPON 88 can enhance the bonding strength between the glaze and the body, improve the scratch resistance of the glaze layer, and effectively prevent glaze cracks and collapse defects. At the same time, incorporating PEPTAPON 88 into the glaze slurry can maintain the stability of the glaze slurry viscosity over a long period.

To ensure optimal performance of the glaze slurry, the recommended dosage of PEPTAPON 88 is 0.4–0.7% of the total glaze slurry content. It can be added in one of the following ways:

  • Add 1 hour before the completion of glaze slurry grinding;
  • Add directly to the glaze slurry while it is being rapidly stirred.

The stirring time should be about 30 minutes, and the glaze slurry can be used after 6 hours of swelling.
