Application
CF-1445 is a high-efficiency dispersant containing 4–5 different hybrid components. It is particularly suitable as a deflocculant for slurries with different chemical compositions and applicable for dispersing various types of ceramic slurries. Its addition enables high solid-content slurries while significantly reducing slurry viscosity.
The deflocculating action of CF-1445 is achieved through two primary mechanisms: first, by exchanging anions with the ceramic slurry and influencing the double electron layer on the surface of clay mineral particles; second, through the chelating action of the polymer, which adsorbs calcium and magnesium ions in the slurry, reducing its thixotropic behavior. Additionally, the polymer chains act on the clay mineral particles to create a steric hindrance effect.
CF-1445 can be added during ball milling along with other raw materials, or it can be introduced into the already ground slurry later.
Due to the diversity and complexity of raw materials in slurries, it is essential to conduct preliminary comparative tests beforehand to determine the optimal dosage of CF-1445 dispersant. The recommended addition amount is 0.05–0.2% of the intermediate solid content in the slurry.
