Application

METAMAX B-17 acts as a pressure-equalizing agent and so effects a homogeneous compaction during the pressing process. It is possible to increase green density if the particle size distribution is not optimal.
The use of the additive improves the flow properties of the body. The friction within the body and the friction between the body and the mould wall are reduced. This can reduce wear and tear and increases the working life of the mould.
The amount added is ca. 2.0 to 4.0% of the solids content of the body.
