Application

The use of METAMAX B-26 promotes the production of well processible hard metals. The mixes can then be processed by vacuum drying or by spray drying. During the spray drying process, METAMAX B-26 leads to the formation of granules with good free-flowing properties, and considerably improves the compaction behaviour of the granules.
Debinding takes place between 300 and 400 °C, without leaving any residues.
The binder is added before attritor milling, thus leading to a very homogeneous distribution of the binder in the slurry. Generally, the quantity of METAMAX B-26 to be added varies between 2.5 and 5.0 %, related to the hard metal powder.
