Application

OPTAPIX PAF 35 brings about an increase in the green and dry breaking strength.
This product contains a relatively high proportion of plasticizer, which acts as a pressing aid for the body. The reduced friction leads to improved compaction.
In addition, the plasticizer prevents the body from drying out too quickly, when it is stored in contact with the air.
The availability of this ready-for-use preparation makes the production process simpler for the user with respect to dosing.
The mode of action of OPTAPIX PAF 35, as temporary binder, depends on the creation of adhesive forces between the raw material particles. A suitable binder-water ratio allows the formation of a film, which attaches itself to the raw material particles and, thus, brings about adhesion.
The amount added is between 1.0 and 3.0 % of the solids content of the body.
