Application

PEPTAPON 71 S is a binding agent and suspension stabilizer for sanitary glazes. It is particularly suitable for the electrostatic spray application requiring long drying times without any tendency of the glaze to run. It improves the bond between body and glaze and provides a touch-resistant finish. Cracking and crawling will not be observed.
Additions that ensure a good performance in most cases are between 0.3 and 0.6 % on dry glaze.The product should be added to the glaze about one hour before the end of the milling time. It is even better to add it to the glaze slurry by means of a high-speed stirrer, the stirring time being about half an hour. After a swelling time of 6 hours, the glaze is ready for use.
Please note that when using PEPTAPON 71 S in stock solutions, glazes and/or body slips, antibacterial biocide use is strongly recommended. Consequently, the dosage needs to be adapted to the process conditions.
