Application

PRODUKT KB 2112 brings about an increase in the green and dry breaking strength. Increases up to 100 % are possible.
PRODUKT KB 2112 can be used for conventional casting bodies as well as for pressure casting bodies used in tableware, sanitary ware and advanced ceramic applications.
PRODUKT KB 2112 is generally compatible with ceramic slurries and should therefore be added to the slurry before spray drying.
Bodies prepared with PRODUKT KB 2112 show an even and rapid drying behaviour. Cracking due to different shrinkage in the mould is avoided and the dewatering times in the mould are shorter.
On account of the body’s homogeneity and the high plasticity of the cast pieces, they can be demoulded earlier. However, they are characterized by a good strength. Hollow casting bodies show a good outflow behaviour; streaks are to a large extent prevented.
Bodies prepared with PRODUKT KB 2112 are, in general, characterized by stable rheology.
The amount to be added varies between 0.5 and 4.0 % related to the solids content of the body or slip. The optimum addition quantity must be determined in your own trials.
